A brief introduction of Custom Libraries in Win 7
Microsoft introduce in Win 7 Custom Libraries in his new operating system. Custom libraries are a great feature in win 7. In this win 7 tips we explain how you can customize this win 7 feature and use this feature in more efficient way.
How Creating Custom Libraries in Win 7
In Microsoft’s new operating system, Win 7 contains four standard library, all handles some content like documents, music, photos or videos. These libraries are likely to offer enough variety for most users, but advanced users may be interested in creating their own libraries with their own. It’s unlikely that you’ll need to create your own library for a particular type of content, but it’s easy to see why you might want to create your own library for special projects, or for specific groups of content that you would like to keep separate from the Standard Libraries for some reason.
Imagine for example that Javed and Ali are working on a book called, say, Win 7 tips. Sure, we can arrange the working files for this book in a folder found inside the My Documents folder, and accessed via the Document Library. But since we’re will have access to these files as often, it might be worthwhile to create a win 7 tips library for this purpose. Then there would always be one click away: we could access it via the Windows Explorer shortcut on the taskbar or from the library section in the navigation pane of the Explorer.
To create a new library, open library window and click the New Library button in the toolbar. A new library item is displayed with a generic icon library, you can give this library a reasonable name, you’d like as you can with an ordinary folder.
Win 7 Tip: For the new library appears in the libraries list in Windows Explorer navigation pane.
When navigating in this virgin Library, you’ll see that you need to monitor, or at least a folder before it will be useful. Windows will ask you about this with an Include a folder button. Click the button and then navigate to the folder you’d want to include and repeat if necessary. Don’t forget that you can contain multiple folders in one library.
